Here we are, still firmly in lockdown 3.0. Despite the world being at a standstill to fight covid-19, there is plenty to do here at the farm! We thought you might like to see a sneak peek of what we have been up to recently…

Our Recent Achievements & Projects

  1. Feature in The Farmers Guardian. ‘Diversification’ has become a bit of a buzz word in the farming industry; it is a very hot topic currently for the next generation of farmers, as traditional farming is becoming harder and harder to sustain. So, it was no surprise that this widely read farming magazine included a several-page spread about the topic. We were asked to feature in the January edition, which we were absolutely over the moon about! You can read the article here.

  2. Collaborating with British businesses to furnish our brand-new pod, Alpacas Rest. We have been busy working with other small business owners who create and manufacture their own furnishings/products to decorate the new pod. Stay tuned for upcoming photos!

  3. TikTok video of Hare’s Form reaches 30K views One of our guests, blogger @jackrunstheworld, posted about his stay at Hare’s Form on his Instagram and TikTok. The video reached a huge audience of 30K views over on TikTok, and as a result, nearly 1000 additional people visited our website within just a couple of days!

  4. Hare’s Form receives some TLC We are making the most of this opportunity to give Hare’s Form a fresh coat of stain on the inside, as well as sanding and revarnishing the workshops. We have also given it yet another deep clean and will be completing a mini makeover with some changes in furniture! Look out for further updates on our social media…

  5. Improving the groundworks With all the recent snow and rainfall here in mid Wales, we have been busy renovating the ditch systems and water courses across the farm. This will help to reduce the torrents of water that often gush down the hill, as well as improving the road leading up to the pods. And of course, we have been landscaping the ground around the new pod ready to replace the fencing between the two fields, which had to be temporarily taken down to get the new pod onto site!

New Life & New Hope

Many news articles are beginning to talk about Wales accepting visitors again in time for Easter, which gives us hope that we will be up and running again soon with the arrival of better weather. And with the lambing season fast approaching here at the farm, we will soon have our hands full looking after almost 700 ewes!

We are confident that this year will be THE year for staycations. With various travel bans and restrictions still in place and holidaying abroad being banned for the time being, it is expected that UK staycation industry will boom this summer. We are so excited to discover what the future will hold…
