 Meet the Alpacas Exprience

Our herd of 37 alpacas live right here on the farm all year round. Naturally curious but a little cautious, they won't come to you in the fields, so the best way to meet our alpacas up close is by booking a Meet the Alpacas Experience.

During the experience, you'll get to:

  • Learn the alpaca do's & don'ts

  • Meet the herd

  • Feed the alpacas their breakfast

  • Learn a little about how Alice & Kevin care for the herd

The experience may include both undercover and outdoor elements, so please dress appropriately for the weather.

Where: Alice or Kevin will meet you at the entrance to the big blue shed

When: 9am on the morning of your departure

Duration: The whole experience lasts approximately 20 minutes

Cost: £8 per person

Max. no. of participants: 6

Terms & Conditions

Pregnancy

If you are pregnant or think you might be at the time of your stay, we recommend not taking part in the experience due to the potential risk of toxoplasmosis.

Footwear

To help protect our animals from outside contaminants, all participants must wear closed-toe shoes (no sandals or flip-flops) and dip them into the provided disinfectant solution before entering the alpaca area. Wellies or ankle boots are ideal, but old, sturdy shoes you don’t mind getting dusty or wet will work just fine. Please note that without appropriate footwear, you cannot take part in the experience.

Weather

While the farm offers a beautiful setting, the weather can be unpredictable. A light rain shower won't stop the activity, but if the weather is severe, we may need to cancel your experience. In the event of a cancellation by us, a full refund will be issued.

Conduct

Please be mindful that you may be sharing your experience with other guests, and we kindly ask that everyone remains respectful throughout. Alpacas are naturally gentle but can be cautious, particularly around new people, so a calm and quiet approach is essential. We reserve the right to end the experience for any participant who does not follow guidance, behaves in a disruptive, disrespectful, or overly loud manner, or is suspected to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
