Meet the Alpacas
Our herd of 35 alpacas live right here on the farm, all year round. They often wander around near the pods but may move between fields occasionally, following their pasture rotation schedule. Don’t worry though if they're not right outside the door, they’ll always be just a short stroll away.
Alpacas are naturally curiously cautious, so they might not come right up to you at first. However, tummy love usually wins them over, so a sure way to meet our alpacas up close is by booking a Meet the Alpacas Experience! During the experience, you'll get to feed them breakfast, snap an alpaca selfie and learn a little about how Alice & Kevin care for the herd.
Where: Alice or Kevin will meet you outside your pod
When: 9am on the morning of your departure
Duration: Approx 20 minutes
Cost: £5 per person
Please Note - Footwear:
To help protect our animals from outside contaminants, all participants must wear closed-toe shoes (no sandals or flip-flops) and dip them into the provided disinfectant solution before entering the alpaca area. Wellies or ankle boots are ideal, but old, sturdy shoes you don’t mind getting dusty or wet will work just fine.
IMPORTANT:
If you are pregnant or think you might be at the time of your stay, we recommend not taking part in the experience due to the potential risk of toxoplasmosis.
