Our Top Tips for a Romantic Glamping Getaway

Want to treat your other half to a romantic break in the countryside but stuck for ideas on how to add some sparkle and allure? Read on to discover our top 5 tips to make your glamping getaway that extra bit special…

1) Special Touches

Thoughtfulness will get you far when planning your glamping break. Nothing says romance quite like a bottle of bubbly and some rose petals! Bring your own decorations and spruce up your cabin or ask your hosts if they can prepare the pod especially for your arrival to surprise your other half.

Here at Hush Hush Glamping, we can provide added extras such as rose petals and Prosecco to make your stay extra romantic. The Prosecco will be chilled ready for your arrival, with champagne glasses provided. We can also scatter real rose petals on the bed to help set the mood!

2) Food For Thought

Take some time to think about how you can make your mealtimes romantic – whether that be a homecooked dinner for two from your favourite recipe(s), planning a rustic picnic in the woods by day, or dining out under the stars by night. After all, we all love being wined and dined occasionally!

Hare’s Form at Hush Hush Glamping features a small kitchenette with all the essentials to cook a tasty meal. Sit out on the decking and bask in the sun’s rays, whilst tucking into a tasty meal with your other half. Or, if you’re looking for something a little different, Escape Picnics can help you create the date night of your dreams by setting up a styled picnic with food and accessories at your chosen romantic location.

3) Nature’s Medicine

Reconnect with nature and each other on your couples’ glamping trip. Sometimes, a simple stroll in the countryside, away from technology and notifications, is all you need to rekindle your romance. We highly recommend dedicating some time on your holiday to romantic walks in the countryside.

Here at Hush Hush Glamping, there are miles of countryside right on our doorstep. Venture to the show stopping Elan Valley Reservoir & Dams, the romantic town of Llandrindod Wells, the awe-inspiring Brecon Beacons, or the enchanted Radnor Forest. There are lots of local activities for couples to enjoy, including mountain biking, horse riding and the Gigrin Red Kite Feeding Centre.

4) Movie Nights

At the end of a long day exploring the nearby countryside, settle down with a good film and let the sparks fly. Whether it’s your favourite film you’ve seen 100 times or a brand-new recommended watch, there’s something so romantic about snuggling up together in front of the TV – and tucking into treats such as popcorn or spicy nachos, of course!

Hare’s Form contains a comfy Hypnos double bed, set opposite a smart TV with Netflix and DVD player. After an adventurous day of walking in mid Wales, hunker down for the night and enjoy watching a film in cosy surroundings, whilst the log burner crackles away in the background. The ideal setting for a movie night!

5) Romantic Stargazing

A romantic retreat wouldn’t be complete without a spot of stargazing. If the sky is clear, you can take it in turns naming famous stars and constellations – you could even dedicate a star to your significant other! There’s no better excuse to cosy up together and keep each other warm.

Hush Hush Glamping is situated in a designated dark sky area in mid Wales. We encourage our guests to make the most of the dazzling dark skies here by venturing outside and cosying up together under blankets with a mug of hot chocolate, whilst enjoying some truly awe-inspiring stargazing.
